Configuring GPS Rescue Mode for Peace of Mind

The primary benefit of the BZ-181 is enabling GPS Rescue, a safety feature that automatically flies your quad back toward the takeoff point if you lose video or radio signal. After confirming your GPS is working in the OSD, go to the Failsafe tab in Betaflight and set the “Failsafe Stage 2” action to “GPS Rescue.” Ensure you have set a “Minimum Satellites” count (usually 8) and a “Rescue Altitude” that is higher than any trees or obstacles in your flying area. Always test this feature in a safe, controlled environment before relying on it during a long-range flight.
